The first session was lead by Holly Nancarrow of Handmade by Holly Crow. She lead the group by showing them how to make a simple fabric brooch. The group then had a chance to make their own brooch from a choice of fabric supplied by Spout.
We can safely say the first session was a huge success as 17 women of all ages turned up ready to get creative. One person described it as 'A great way to get to know other women in the area who are interested in crafts and natter over coffee and cake.
The next meeting is April 2nd at Spout Coffee Shop, 70 St Edwards Street. Entrance is £5 and includes a hot drink, cake and activity.
If you are interested in becoming a Retro Wren please join our Facebook group or ring 01538 373 780 for further info. Alternatively just come along on the night. Sessions take place on the 1st Tuesday of every month 7 - 9pm.
